Staff availability should belong to the stylist — not the service

This is where salon scheduling becomes more complicated than simply adding a calendar to a product.

A stylist may perform several different services during the same working day. Their availability therefore needs to be shared between all of those services.

In this demo, the stylists available for Women's Haircut are also assigned to other products in the store.

If Anna is booked from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM for another service, Planora won't offer Anna at that time here — even though the original booking came from a different product.

One calendar protects every service

Planora separates services from resources:

Shopify product → service being purchased
Planora resource → person, room, vehicle, or equipment being booked

This allows the same resource to be safely shared between any number of products without maintaining separate calendars for every service.
